The Rams got their man in the first round of this years draft. Carriker will come in and be an iunstant starter most likely and he will help out on an improving defense.

Rams to Begin Preseason in Minnesota The Rams hope to begin the 2007 season the same way they ended the 2006 season with a win over Minnesota. The Rams currently appear as basically the same team as that matchup. The same will not be said for the Vikings. Vikings are in rebuilding mode, looking for talent anywhere they can find it. It is unsure who will play what, who will start at what, and even who will make the team. Though preseason is a time for working out the kinks, I'm not so sure thats even possible at this point for Minnesota, they need some help.
The first home game of the new season will come against the newly designed Bolts of San Diego. The Rams faced the high powered Chargers last season in week 7 and came away on the losing side 24-38. LaDainian Tomlinson will bring him team to St. Louis in their newly design away uniforms. Though it is very unlikly that Tomlinson will play, this game still looks to be a good one.
The Rams will have to travel to Oakland for their third game of the season. The Rams shut out the Raiders last season 20-0 in week 15. This will probably be their first look at the number one overall pick in the draft, whether it is JaMarcus Russell, Brady Quinn, Calvin Johnson, or anyone else Al Davis chooses to select. Though Oakland had a terrible year last year, they are improving. If they do select Russell, he should get a large dose of playing time.
Once again, the Rams will face Kansas City in the preseason this year in the annual Governor’s Cup game. This will be both teams final preseason game. Starters should see the most time this preseason in this game. We will see two of the league's best running backs in Steven Jackson and Larry Johnson. It should be a good game.
